Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Use knowledge, ability and initiative to consistently maintain high quality work standards that will insure the safe
• operation of equipment and protect the capital investment of the company
• Work at the overall direction of the truck shop foreman
• Perform daily tasks at the direction of the truck shop foreman
• Work in harmony with all other truck shop personnel
• Is familiar with company maintenance and safety policies and procedures
• Reinforce company maintenance and safety policies through high quality work and support within the maintenance department
• Capable of performing various equipment maintenance and repair jobs including (but not limited to) basic
• component replacement, basic electrical troubleshooting, basic suspension, wheel end and brakes
• Complete all paperwork in accordance with D.O.T. regulations and company policies as they pertain to trailer safety and performance
• Make proper use of and maintains all maintenance support property, equipment and facilities assigned to the shop
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner
• Use good judgment based on common sense, training and experience in carrying out responsibilities.
• Keep work areas clean
• Drive equipment from yard to shop and back
• Must own tools
• Good knowledge of Federal DOT and OSHA regulations
• Demonstrate support to the corporate Quality Management System and its quality objectives as applicable
• Assist in training process

Necessary Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic data entry skills
• Possess necessary mechanic's skills
• Excellent work history with a proven track record
• Ability to successfully pass drug test and physical
• Professional, clean, neat appearance
• No convictions or felonies or serious crimes
• Travel as needed
